چکیده

We report the full characterization of a photocurable dimethacrylate-based formulation modified with small amounts (1 and 3 wt%) polystyrene-block-poly(ethylene oxide) (PS-b-PEO) block copolymer (BCP). The UV curable is mixture bisphenol A bis(2-hydroxy-3-methacryloxypropyl)ether (Bis-GMA) triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA) contains phenylbis(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)phosphine oxide (Irgacure819) as photoinitiator. demonstrate that addition amount BCP in uncured able to induce phase separation at nanometer scale. nanoscale structure formed pre-cure stage retained after curing, so obtaining nanostructured solid cross-linked materials. studied materials can be used manufacturing process stereolithography and, therefore, modern 3D printers. ability control formation nanostructures material by adding BCPs formulations could open new opportunities tailor improve properties printed objects.

Room temperature magnetic materials from nanostructured diblock copolymers.

Nanostructured magnetic materials are important for many advanced applications. Consequently, new methods for their fabrication are critical. However, coupling self-assembly to the generation of magnetic materials in a simple, straight-forward manner has remained elusive. Although several approaches have been considered, most have multiple processing steps, thus diminishing their use of self-as...

Striped, ellipsoidal particles by controlled assembly of diblock copolymers.

Control of interfacial interactions leads to a dramatic change in shape and morphology for particles based on poly(styrene-b-2-vinylpyridine) diblock copolymers. Key to these changes is the addition of Au-based surfactant nanoparticles (SNPs) which are adsorbed at the interface between block copolymer-containing emulsion droplets and the surrounding amphiphilic surfactant to afford asymmetric, ...

Equilibrium emulsification of polymer blends by diblock copolymers

2014 The onset and morphology of various equilibrium emulsion phases for an A and B homopolymer mixture with diblock A-B copolymers as the compatibilizer, is investigated. Attention is focused on the relation between the relative lengths of the blocks and the elastic properties of the interfacial layer which determines the phase behavior. The curvature elastic moduli K and K, as well as the spo...

Vesicle-to-micelle transition induced by grafted diblock copolymers.

We study by small-angle neutron scattering the vesicle-to-micelle transition induced by anchoring diblock copolymers on the surfactant membranes. Vesicles are made using the ternary system SDS (sodium dodecyl sulfate)/octanol/PS-POE (polystyrene-polyoxyethylene), chosen as a model of more complex biological systems. The anchored polymer chains destabilize the membranes and lead to the formation...
